Permanent Representation of Germany,
Rue Jacques de Lalaing 8-14, 1040 Brussels
On 22 January 2014, the European Commission released its package of documents to foster a decision-making progress on the 2030 framework for climate and energy policies. It will inform upcoming meetings in the Council and Parliament and the debate among Member States on key elements of the 2030 framework. Further information can be found here.
To stimulate the discussion and to obtain evidence and views from a range of stakeholders on 2030 targets and policies, the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Buildings and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) – in cooperation with Ecologic Institute – is organizing a high-level debate in Brussels.
Barbara Hendricks, Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety of Germany, will give a Keynote Speech about Climate and Energy Policy for Europe. Representatives from business, NGOs and other member states will join the debate. Scientific experts will contribute to the discussion through presentations.
